IS THIS RIGHT FOR YOU?
You may benefit from a comprehensive psychological profile if you:
- Feel that a single diagnosis does not fully explain your experiences
- Want a deeper understanding of your emotional patterns, relationships, or behaviours
- Have experienced ongoing difficulties with mood, identity, or direction
- Have previously received therapy but still feel something is not fully understood
- Are seeking clarity rather than just a label
HOW I CAN HELP
Understanding Your Experiences
This assessment is designed to provide a clear and meaningful understanding of how your experiences, patterns, and emotional responses fit together.
Rather than focusing on a single diagnosis, I take a formulation-led approach integrating clinical understanding with, where appropriate, standardised psychometric assessment to help you understand not only what you are experiencing, but why.
A Structured, Assessment-Led Process
This is a distinct assessment process rather than an open-ended therapy space.
While therapy often involves ongoing exploration over time, this assessment is structured, time-limited, and focused on developing a clear, integrated psychological understanding using both clinical expertise and, where appropriate, standardised psychometric measures.
These may include validated personality and clinical measures to identify underlying patterns, emotional processes, and relational styles that may not be immediately visible through discussion alone.
What You Will Get
- A comprehensive, clinically informed written report integrating your history, patterns, and current experiences into a clear and coherent psychological understanding
- A detailed psychological formulation, including identification of key patterns such as underlying schemas, modes, coping styles, and relational dynamics that may be keeping you stuck
- Where appropriate, integration of validated psychometric assessment to clarify deeper patterns, including personality organisation, emotional functioning, thought patterns, interpersonal style, and underlying coping or defensive processes
- Insight into how these patterns influence areas such as emotional regulation, stress tolerance, impulse control, self-concept, and relationships
- A clear explanation of what is maintaining your difficulties, and what specifically needs to change to move forward
- Personalised, structured recommendations outlining the most appropriate therapeutic approach, areas of focus, and how change can be approached in a meaningful and effective way
- Guidance you can share with your GP, psychologist, or other professionals to support coordinated and informed care
- A structured feedback session to ensure you fully understand the formulation and how to apply it in practice
The aim is for you to leave with a clear, integrated understanding of yourself, what has been holding you in place, and a focused direction for meaningful change.

HOW THE ASSESSMENT WORKS
A Clear, Structured Process
Step 1
Free 15-minute consultation
A brief discussion to understand your needs, what you are hoping to gain from the assessment, and whether this is the most appropriate approach for you.
Step 2
Initial assessment sessions
These sessions explore your history, current difficulties, emotional patterns, relationships, and the broader context of your experiences. This includes consideration of longstanding patterns, significant life events, and the ways you may have adapted or coped over time. These may be 3-4 sessions in total.
Step 3
Psychometric assessment and formulation
Where appropriate, carefully selected psychometric measures may be used to deepen understanding of personality patterns, emotional functioning, coping styles, and other underlying processes. I then integrate this with the clinical material to develop a coherent psychological formulation that explains how your difficulties have developed and what may be maintaining them.
Step 4
Feedback session and written report
You will receive a detailed explanation of the formulation, the key patterns identified, and the areas that may need to be addressed to create meaningful change. This is followed by a comprehensive written report, including recommendations for treatment focus, therapeutic approach, and next steps.
WHY WORK WITH ME
Experience and Expertise
Choosing a psychological assessment is a significant step, particularly if you are seeking a deeper and more precise understanding of yourself.
My approach is grounded in American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited doctoral training in the United States, involving five years of intensive clinical training and experience in comprehensive psychological assessment across educational, medical, and community settings.
This included advanced training in cognitive assessment (including the Wechsler Adult and Children’s scales and the Stanford-Binet), as well as objective and personality assessment measures such as the MMPI, MCMI, and PAI, alongside training in projective approaches including the Rorschach.
Since 2013, I have built a private practice working with complex and longstanding presentations, further deepening my experience in diagnostic clarification and formulation-led understanding and therapy.
I take a structured, assessment-led approach, designed to provide clarity and depth, distinct from ongoing therapy work. Where appropriate, I integrate standardised psychometric measures with clinical understanding to develop a balanced and meaningful psychological formulation.
I have experience working with presentations that are overlapping, long-standing, or not easily explained by a single diagnosis.
Every assessment is carried out and interpreted personally, with care, precision, and clinical depth, with the aim of providing a level of understanding that can meaningfully guide change.
A Different Kind of Assessment
This is not a brief or checklist-based process.
The focus is on a careful, individualised understanding of your experiences, integrating clinical expertise with structured assessment to develop a meaningful and accurate psychological formulation.
For some people, this brings clarity where previous approaches have felt limited or incomplete.
STILL UNSURE?
Common Questions
Will this give me a clear answer?
The assessment is designed to provide a comprehensive and evidence-based understanding of your experiences. This may or may not involve a formal diagnosis, but it will provide clarity, insight, and direction.
Do I need to have a specific problem or diagnosis?
No. Many people seek this assessment not because of a single difficulty, but because they want a deeper understanding of themselves.
Can this be combined with an ADHD assessment?
Yes. For some individuals, a broader psychological profile can sit alongside or follow an ADHD assessment, depending on your needs.
