Fees for Adult ADHD Assessment
The ADHD assessment process is conducted in stages to ensure that a comprehensive diagnostic assessment is clinically appropriate. In some cases, the screening consultation alone may provide sufficient clarity, and a full assessment may not be required.
Referral Consultation
Free
15-minute phone or video consultation
This initial consultation provides an opportunity to:
- Briefly discuss your concerns
- Ask questions about the assessment process
- Understand how the assessment works
- Decide whether to proceed with screening
Screening Consultation
£400
90-minute clinical consultation
This session involves:
- Exploration of current difficulties and concerns
- Review of attention, organisation, and emotional patterns
- Discussion of developmental background
- Initial consideration of alternative explanations
In some situations, this consultation may provide sufficient guidance without the need for a full ADHD assessment.
Full ADHD Assessment
£1,650
Comprehensive diagnostic assessment
If a full assessment is recommended, this includes:
- Detailed clinical assessment (approximately 2 hours)
- Review of questionnaires and background information
- Diagnostic formulation using recognised criteria
- Feedback session (30-60 minutes)
- Comprehensive written report with personalised recommendations
Fee Structure
If you proceed with a full ADHD assessment:
- The screening consultation forms part of the overall process
- The screening fee is included within the total assessment fee
This means the total cost for screening and full assessment is £1,650

The assessment is not based on a single test or questionnaire, but on a comprehensive evaluation of your experiences over time.
Where appropriate, additional information may be gathered from someone who knows you well (e.g. partner or parent) to support understanding of developmental history and current functioning.
